The Beijing Rural Commercial Bank is the first provincial level rural commercial bank that is granted for formation by the State Council of China. Its total capital is the largest of its kind among rural commercial banks in China; it has 14 branch offices and 690 sub-branches.

The Bank invited public bidding on building up its IT security system in April of 2006. The goal is to build an in-depth IT security system to guarantee the Bank’s IT system work smoothly and sustain its development. After a few rounds of furious competition, Topsec won the project.

  Build up the IT security management structure, especially for managing and monitoring the IT system.

  Work out the security strategies, security management criterion and emergency response and backup scheme for the bank.

  Design and implement the technical solutions, which include WAN edge protection, intranet domain dividing and access control, end-point access control, LAN monitoring and managing, remote access, dial-up security, virus scanning/removal, security auditing, etc.

  Build a security operation center (SOC).

  Security System include: Topsec products and third party products.

  Security Service includes: system integration service, software customized service, technical support service and security consulting services which including security assessment, security scanning service, emergency responding service, security reporting and security classification consulting service.

The first phrase of the project has been successfully completed. It involves more than 200 nodes and the following products: firewall, intrusion detection system (IDS), anti-virus (AV) gateway, security auditing system, network device, ID authentication system, and security management platform, etc.
